Nutritional Management

At The Aesthetic Clinic we care about your health and the follow-up you give to your treatments. All body shaping treatment must be accompanied by Nutritional Management. Either to improve your health or as an aesthetic medical supplement, the goal is to learn to eat a proper diet.

Diet: It is defined as the control of the quantity and quality of food that a living being ingests. Although they are the most frequent, they are not necessarily hypocaloric always. There are hypercaloric, isocaloric and hypocaloric and depending on their consistency there are other classifications. It all depends on the needs of the patient. We also usually add trace elements, minerals and vitamins, which are essential to complement the recommended diet. In other words, to talk about diet is to talk about the way we choose our food and consume it.

A proper and balanced diet is the cornerstone of any body shaping and / or weight management treatment.

Obesity is considered a pandemic, or global epidemic. 2.6 million people die each year from this cause and many millions, if not, billions more, suffer from diseases associated with uncontrolled weight gain. The metabolic syndrome is the best example. Weight gain above a BMI (Body Mass Index) of the normal range predisposes to cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, renal, Diabetes II, high blood pressure, hormonal alterations and many other disabling and fatal diseases.

In the US, 21% of the health fund is consumed in the treatment of diseases associated with weight gain. It is estimated that about 70% of the adult population suffers from overweight and obesity.

At The Aesthetic Clinic we do not offer a specific diet to follow. We sit, listen, analyze the state of health and take individual tastes into account. Thus, we recommend a personalized diet for each patient based on the foods preferred by him. We do not deliver schemes. We could say that we offer tips as we address the issue in consultation. We believe that it is better to explain and teach the basics in nutrition so that each patient learns to eat, learn to balance their diet and eventually be independent and able to build a healthy and orderly menu, respecting the taste and rhythm of each individual.
